These days it seems doing well in your business often means going green with your business. As multitudes of environmental laws are passed this year, a new “green-minded” market emerges and it is wise to blend your eco-friendly efforts with your business practice. For example, getting rid of old equipment in a responsible manner not only clears your office of unnecessary clutter, but the materials can be recycled or donated to a charitable cause.

Consider also the benefits of using different equipment to save on energy costs. Using a 14 inch color monitor instead of a 17 inch color monitor uses 35% less energy and equipment with low power sleep modes can also cut down on the cost. A desktop computer uses 130 watts while a laptop computer uses only 15 watts and offers mobility. Making these small changes can have a drastic effect on your office utility bill.

When you decide to take action, Technology Team is prepared to assist with our new recycling service. The “Team” will take an inventory of the equipment you wish to be rid of including make, model, and serial numbers. We destroy the hard drives on site to keep your sensitive information safe and take the remaining material to our partnering recycler. Technology Team will promptly offer you a certificate verifying the proper destruction and recycling of the equipment.

If you require a relocation, we can organize your equipment efficiently in the new space which can also save energy.
